I have a 7 year old from a previous relationship and an 18 month old with current partner. Next Monday we are going away for all in all about 5 nights (including flight times etc) with my 7 year old I’m not as worried as I have a fab relationship with her dad and his partner so I know she’ll be fine there. And I know my 1month old will be fine with both my mum and partners mum BUT I have major anxiety leaving him I feel awful, will I feel like this the whole time I’m there ? I’m not sure I can do it unless I add him on 😑

Yes, it’s lovely. We don’t have much family support so have only managed a few weekends away together, but we each go on holiday separately every year (the other stays at home with dc) and it’s amazing. It will all be fine and you’ll have a fantastic time.

No never. Only because we have no one to look after the kids though!

Every year since we've been together DH and I had a week away from the children (kids were 5 and 10).We did always go as a family twice a year too.
Both have 1 each from previous relationships. When the eldest became an adult he looked after the youngest (I have custody of my DSS).
They are now both adults and still at home and can't wait for Mum and Dad to have their holiday!
