Y8 goes to bed at 9:30pm school nights and 10:30-11:00 on weekends. On school days he gets up at 7:30am if that makes a difference?

Ohyesiam · 03/10/2018 22:22

About 9. But she is queen of stretching it out.

SilverGiraffe7 · 03/10/2018 22:23

9:30-10pm whether school night or not. As long as he gets up without too much nagging (from me) and groaning (from him) in the mornings I let him get on with it and am flexible up to a point. (Electronics are off and downstairs before 9:30 tho)

molemonkey · 03/10/2018 22:24

user187656748 · 03/10/2018 22:25

9 in theory but homework often means its later

molemonkey · 03/10/2018 22:25

Forgot to say some nights its 10pm due to scouts and other after school stuff

Cheriex · 03/10/2018 22:26

Yes, 9pm normally but depends on home work too. He went to bed almost 10pm today.

blueskiesandforests · 03/10/2018 22:28

Depends on when they have to get up surely?

My 13 year old has to be up at 5:45am on a school day, so she goes upstairs about 7:30-8pm, depending whether she wants to shower and how tired she is, in bed quietly by 8:30pm. No rules about lights out but she needs 9-10 hours sleep and she usually turns her light off well before 9 unless shes got something on her mind stopping her sleeping.

She doesn't usually stay up later than 9pm at weekends or in the holidays.

Twins -930-10 school night, get up at 730ish. By 11 on Friday and Saturday. They get themselves up after i have left for work, do well at school, are fit and active, happy kids, so it works for us.

shearwater · 03/10/2018 22:40

10pm normally, any time she likes (though it doesn't end up being much later) at weekends and holidays. She gets up ok in the morning for school.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 04/10/2018 09:13

9.15 weekdays, whenever he likes on Friday and Saturday.
