I love our gro eggs! Yes, we have 2, one for each dc bedroom Grin we’ve always found them accurate. Useful because I was anxious with my first, so it reassured me I was dressing her correctly at night

We have an angelcare monitor that tells the temperature. We also have one of this cheap paper wall thermometers (cost about a pound). They do the job perfectly well!!

WooYa · 29/09/2018 21:12

I've got one and use it for a nightlight in DSs room

Definitely. We love ours. Really help with the colour changing aspect

liquidrevolution · 29/09/2018 21:15

I never bothered. Most baby monitors have temperatures anyhow.

mummadave · 29/09/2018 21:17

Love ours, much more accurate that the several baby monitors we've had

Sweetiedarlingletmein · 29/09/2018 21:18

I absolutely love the gro egg. DD is almost 2 and I still use it.

sabrinathethirtysomethingwitch · 29/09/2018 21:25

Night light is on the angelcare monitor too. Not sure about other monitors. I was In two minds about buying a gro egg too though.

CaptainCorrigan · 29/09/2018 21:29

We never bothered, our monitor has a temp on it but to be honest after a while you can usually work out what they need. There was a funny thread on here about them I always remembered Grin

We've got one, it's good and accurate but tbh we mainly use it as a nightlight Grin

LeeCee · 29/09/2018 21:41

That thread was hilarious @CaptainCorrigan thanks for linking 😂😂 I had one on my wish list but I think that's swayed me not to waste my money

SendYouUpInFlames · 29/09/2018 21:42

We have one in each dc bedroom. We also use them as a night light as you can buy a silicon owl that sits intop of it that glows with the egg.

I also find them very accurate.

sabrinathethirtysomethingwitch · 29/09/2018 21:49

Thanks @CaptainCorrigan that thread is hilarious 🤣

I was absolutely OBSESSED with the room
temp and bath temp when DS was born. Couldn't figure out why he was screaming
in the bath. It was baltic. But according to
the thermometer "ideal" temperature Grin

guiltynetter · 29/09/2018 21:57

you need one. i’ve just had my second baby and i bought another one because i wanted to keep the first one for my 4 year old!

I binned my bath one after a few weeks! I realised after a while what was ideal one day was not the next. I realised that my own common sense was far more efficient! Grin it also had the ability to go from to cold to too hot by the time I'd gone into the bedroom I ended up spending 15 mins messing about with bath water just to get it right!

Thanks all. I think as they are only £15 i will give it a go.
