Child Maintenance

My expartner has dropped the child Maintenance down to the minimum. This is very unusual as I know he earns more than he is declaring. But being self employed his gross earnings have been fixed in some way.
He now arrives to take our son out in a brand new BMW to a fantastic place, no doubt.

I am trying to hold things together but finding it very hard, as I live in a private accom, etc. I do not get any help with out of school activities.
Can anyone help me please?

Are you using the cms or do you have a private arrangement?

If it's the cms then there's not really a lot you can do - as they use the hmrc to find his earnings.

Could you ask him to pay for the after school / weekend clubs? Or is he unreasonable - my ex is so it wouldn't surprise me if you couldn't ask him x

Cms is a nightmare but unfortunately if they assessed the min and he is paying that then you are stuck , self employed seems to be the way to reduce payment by deadbeats

Thank you and sadly yes it is through CMS

My ex was reassessed as he was a company director they took into consideration his dividends etc . They will also look if it appears he is living beyond his means .
