Dressing baby in winter

Looking for advice from some veteran parents. I’m pregnant with my first baby and she’s due in February. I’d like to go out for daily walks, weather permitting, but I’m unsure what she should wear whilst in the pram. Should I invest in a snow suit or one of those fancy fleece swaddling type blankets? Any advice would be great! Obviously she’ll wear a hat and a long sleeved all in one I’m just confused what she should wear over this. 🙂

Vest, sleepsuit, socks, hat, and a snowsuit over the top would be ideal for long walks.

If you are popping in and out of shops, I'd skip the pram suit and just use a thick blanket that you can take off as you enter each shop, as they tend to be quite well heated and you don't want your baby to be sweltering!

Vest, sleepsuit, cardigan, vest and as many blankets as you need. Assuming you have a carrycot then that shelters them from a lot. Pramsuits are a pain as baby is guaranteed to fall asleep before you get back indoors and then you have to get them out of the suit which inevitably wakes them! I rarely walked with the pram, I favoured a sling, in which case they just need vest and sleepsuit and hat as they will get heat from you.

I'd use lots of blankets. If you stop anywhere indoors then you can easily take these off without waking her if she's asleep.
