How did you stop swaddling?

DD is 15wks and looking like she might start rolling soon so I'm thinking we need to stop swaddling before she does.

It is not going well!

Have tried just a sleeping bag, one arm out, the other arm out and am now trying to simply loosen it a bit. Still it's a painful process as she's flailing around or fighting her way out.

Any tips? How did you do it? Should I just go cold turkey and suck it up for a few nights? Help!!

Mine loved the swaddle, i bought a cheap swaddle sleeping bag from ebay that closed with velcro, she gradually wiggled her way out of it until she got used to sleeping without it

Well I tried loosening her swaddle for all sleeps for a couple of days and that didn't work as she kept waking herself up fighting out of it!

So last night I figured I'd just bite the bullet and put her in a sleeping bag - it was fine! Little bit more fussing when settling, but all in all it was a normal night! Hooray!

Next I need to tackle that dummy..

Dummy i did over Christmas, so much going on that she didn't notice it missing, though maybe helped that she didn't have it at bedtime, only for naps
