Formula help needed for the clueless!

Hey ladies, my LO is 6 months and, until now, I have exclusively pumped breastmilk for him. He has taken to BLW like a pro and I want my life back from the pump so I’m introducing formula gradually. I’m completely clueless though!
I bought Aptamil and have been following the instructions to make it to the letter (let the kettle cool for 30 mins, shake) and, unless I use it literally immediately, it looks fine but it bloody stinks! Like I feel terrible feeding to my LO as I deffo couldn’t drink it. I know you shouldn’t switch brands but are there any less smelly formulas around? I think I will change it while he is still getting breastmilk and hasn’t had much of it.
Thank you 🙂

My DS is 5.5 months old and I switched from Aptamil to ALDI formula! The new aptamil was waaaaay sweeter in my opinion (they recently changed the formulation if you weren't aware of this) whereas the Aldi one is more on par with the "old" aptamil.

Plus it's £7 a tin!

I gradually transitioned over by reducing one bottle per day to the new formula and he was fine (I done this about 2 months ago)

Sadly, they all smell like rotting cabbage. The pre-made ones smell nicer though but are obviously more expensive.

Formula does smell pretty bad so you probably won't find one that smells acceptable, but when you're starting out it's ok to try different brands to work out which your lo gets on with. We switched from aptamil to cow and gate when they changed the recipe as it was making ds quite sicky

Exactly what scortishma said!

Thanks Ladies, don't feel so bad about switching now. Why does it have to be so gross?!
Super Mum guilt setting in though - I was pumping for 5/6 hours a day though and he's starting to crawl so it just isn't practical.

Yes they all smell - we use HiPP Organic and this is far les offensive smelling! Smells a bit like honey. Every baby is different but after trying several I would definitely recommend this one!
