8 week old not pooped?

Hi,
My 8 week old DS has not pooped for just over 24 hours - I've read online that this is normal, however I am wondering if during this time it's normal for him to cry a lot and appears to be in discomfort? Also really unsettled and hard to soothe? Thanks!

Maybe in discomfort because he needs a poo. Try bicycling his legs and anticolic masssage.

We literally had this issue over the past two days with 7 week old dd. HV suggested cooled boiled water if nothing happened. Thankfully today after two days of bad wind and straining my dd performed. It was horrific but she feels miles better! Didn't need the water after all.

Are you bf? Then up to a week is normal. At this age they also have to learn to poo.

Both of mine only ever went about every 5 days. I found when there was discomfort, it was more likely to be trapped wind. Bicycling legs, tiger in

Sorry, baby posted too soon!

Tiger in tree hold, or just making sure to wind lots during feeds helped.
