My 20 month old daughter has started these godawful earsplitting furious rages over the past couple of weeks.
Once every day or two. They are lasting around half an hour or occasionally longer, this morning it started because she called me and I came. Literally.
I've had to hold her to restrain her from head butting things or trying to hurt herself, the other day she slapped herself so hard she split her lipConfusedConfused
I've never seen anything like it, I've got an older child and I've worked with children for 20 years.
I'm keeping calm, ignoring as much as I can and keeping her safe as I can. I know she might be trying to communicate but can't and is frustrated but there's no mellowing, is this normal? What do I do? She's small but she's got us beaten Sad

My dd learned a few signs at 20 months. Honestly was the best thing I did!!
Her and younger dd never really had tantrums .
Unlike oldest dd who didn't learn any.... Shock

I'll have a look at some signs.
She's always been feisty but this is like a human to werewolf situation, if she catches anyone making eye contact with her when she's raging it's even worse.
I've never seen anything like this, or rather I have but never for the extended amount of time.
