to call up and reschedule (delay probably) DS3's hearing test? As I had early discharge from the hospital when I had him I was sent an appointment to check his hearing for the 21st June..........BUT it's the same day as the Teddy Bear's Picnic at DS2's toddler group and I really want to take him to that....

I know that the hearing test is important - but he's already starting to turn his head when he hears any of us talking so I'm not overly concerned about it......or should I be 'good' and get it done and miss the picnic??

rearrange and enjoy the picnic

edam · 11/06/2007 12:19

Agree, go on the picnic and rearrange. Hearing test can be rearranged but picnic can't.

BreeVanDerCamp · 11/06/2007 12:20

Go to the picnic. It goes both ways, they could just as easily reschedule you.

I didn't get my third done (or first two) as I couldn't get to the hospital (too far away). Did wonder at the time if they would have a list of those who didn't (bad mothers etc) but so far so good....

ahundredtimes · 11/06/2007 12:20

Nah, go to the picnic. (do you really want to go to that so much? You're nice. I used to try and get out of them. I'd have scheduled anything to not go on a Teddy Bear's picnic. But I'm horrid and you're not, so go on the picnic!)

fannyannie · 11/06/2007 12:20

right you've confirmed it for me (I was already erring on the rearranging it anyhow)......now I just need to come up with a good reason for DH as to why it was changed

agree - the hosp has enough time to fill the gap.

Gobbledigook · 11/06/2007 12:21

God, I wouldn't hesitate to reschedule the hearing test

fannyannie · 11/06/2007 12:23

ahundredtimes - yes I do want to go - it's the only toddler group that I take DS2 to, and I get on really well with all the mums there (that's why its the only one I stuck with as they were the nicest mothers LOL). DS2 is the sort of boy that adores that sort of thing and TBH walking 2 minutes across the road and through the church grounds to the church hall where I can then sit down and relax for 1 1/2hrs while DS2 lets off steam is much more appealing than dragging him and DS3 (in the pram of course) half way across town - a trip that's going to take a similar amount of time......

Oh god absolutely. Go, go, go. I think you're officially lovely.
