potty training - i think i did it wrong ??

hey lovelies,

so ive started potty training my DS and hes absolutly nail it hes doing it so well! i went with the naked from waste down technique and he picked it up near enough straight away. He hasnt had any accidents around the house in about 10 days (maybe longer)

The thing is, as soon as i put big boy pants on him ... it all goes out the window and he just goes. doesnt go to the potty, doesnt come and get me, just stands there and goes.

Does he think hes just in a nappy again? he does still wear a nappy when we go out, just in case and to bed.

Am i just going to have to start again and start mopping up pee again? its so frustrating!

any advice????

How old is he? That's very relevant.

hes almost 2 and a half x

Trousers (very loose) and no pants as the next step - get him used to dealing with clothes, without feeling a fairly snug layer over his bits.
Keep the bed time nappy until it's reliably dry in the mornings - this can take another few years, as you need to start producing a hormone.

DunesOfSand, thank you, ill give this a go! oh the bedtime nappy will be staying he is far from being nighttime dry, although there has been occasions.
