DD is 2.5 and has been potty/toilet trained for around a month or so. Totally dry, no accidents, and shes normally dry after dinner time naps. HOWEVER, is it just me whos finding potty training to be in 2 stages? ie. Wee training and then Poo training? She will not poo on the toilet/potty, she hides does it in her pants and then asks me to change her! Is this normal and does anyone have any tips how to encourage her to do a no.2 on the loo coz so far shes having none of it!! tia!

It's fairly normal IME (mine and friends' plus what I've read on here). In our case, we cracked it after about 2 months when I sat him on the loo after a meal (I just suspected he needed a poo, don't remember why but probably because he was breaking wind!) and read to him till he performed. Cue much praise and some chocolatey treat. I've no idea why he did it that time as we'd tried many times before. But after that he got the hang of it, although he still often starts poos in pants before rushing to the loo to finish the job (he is now 5.5 ).
