Alternatives to dummies?

Just need a bit of advice.. I have a 4 month old whose always been a bit difficult when it comes to napping. He won't sleep in the car seat, he'll only sleep in the day when he's on a walk in the pram or if he's fell asleep on the boob. He's always hated dummies, I've tried no end of brands and he despises them all. So is there anything else I could do to try and help him sleep without my boob or being walked in his pram?

Put him in his pram and let him sleep in the hallway/dining room? If hes used to sleeping in his pram (as opposed to a cot) then that sounds like a good place to start.

We used a little finger like a dummy. Sounds weird but it worked until she was 5m. Now she has a dummy.
