Double pram

Hi

I had a nightmare with DC1's pram, I got caught up in what looked good rather than what was practical so I ended up buying 4 until I found the perfect one (Joie Chrome). So this time around I thought I'd do a little more research.

DC2 is due in March, and DC1 will be around 15 months. We're not planning on buying it until DC2 has been born but I'd like to go and have a look at a few before we decide what I want. We'll also probably be buying second hand given how much I spent on my other 4 prams. Lol!

I'm not overly keen on the double prams that sit on top of one another and I don't want to use a sling either, I'd prefer them to sit side by side. I like the bugaboo donkey duos, but the reviews are quite mixed.

This is what I'm looking for, can you help with some suggestions. Smile

. I'd prefer both seats parent facing.
. I live in the country, so need something that can go off road but would also be good in the city.
. A big basket is a must!
. Needs to fit into a qashqai.
. Something light would be preferable.

Thank you! Grin

I didn't have a double for dd1 and dd2 (15 month gap) but I have a bugaboo donkey for dd2 and ds1 (12 month gap). I'm really happy with it and it does make life easier. It's the only one that fit all of my criteria which was mainly a carrycot and able to have parent and forward facing options.
The pushchair seats aren't as luxurious as my single which is my only negative so far

I bought mine second hand and will sell on again in a few months. I wouldn't have paid full price as it is really expensive and once youngest has grown out of the carrycot you could probably get an umbrella fold double

On paper, it ticks all my boxes, I'm just concerned that it will be too big.

Does it fit through your front door? Does it fit in the boot of your car?

It just fits through our front door and I can't think of any doors off the the top of my head that we haven't been able to squeeze through.
It fits in our boot but we have a people carrier. The frame folds up quite small because you can put it down to a single. I would think that it would fit in the boot of a quashqai
