Hi all,

I have a little toddler (under 2 years) and she's at the stage were she's hitting out/kicking out. What we find is she shows most of her aggression/frustration towards her mother.

The nursery say shes an angle and she's fine with me but most of her hitting/aggression is aimed just at her mum.

Is this a common thing?
What can we do to minimise this behavior?
How can i support my partner through this stage?

Thank you for your support

It's because she is most comfortable with mum and feels safe with her reactions. It's a common phase from what I've seen, just explain to her that it hurts and she shouldn't do it. It should pass.
