So i am feeling rough, cold cough, aches chills, borderline flu possibly. Im breastfeeding my 2 month old and terrified she will get it. I can hear my 5 year old coughing away in her bed as we speak too. Its not a very nice virus at all.

I know the best thing is to keep breast feeding, but i just want to know if anyone is in the same boat out there, September illnesses? And is worried like me xxx

Not now but I had the same when my DD was tiny. Bf is the best thing you can do for them, chances are with your antibodies theg won't catch it but if they do, remember its just a cold. Snuffle drops and propping up the head and of a moses basket slightly will help.

I’ve had 2 fairly hideous illnesses whilst breastfeeding (1x Aussie flu and 1x pneumonia). My nurseling did not become ill on either occasion. She would have got antibodies specific to the illness to protect her.
