Do ff babies sleep through earlier/more often?

Don't mean for this to be a bf/ff debate, just curious. My dd wakes up in the night as do friends' babies who are bf. However friends' babies who are ff have been sleeping through for months - even 7-7 in some cases. Dd is 8 months so still early days but dream about that kind of sleep!

Yes. Just Google some research. Of course they do.

Sleeps from 8pm to 1am then feeds every 2hrs after.

Not according to a scientific study done by Swansea university.

I switched from breast to formula at 8 months because I was hoping it would improve DC3’s sleep (breastfed DC1 and DC2 for a year). It didn’t.

How do you feed to a 3 hour schedule? I don't understand how formula feeding is any different to breastfeeding in that you need to feed on demand. Can someone please explain this to me? I'm genuinely curious.

Because with formula you tend to have more discrete feeds, rather than lots of tiny feeds interspersed with naps. You can't just use a bottle for comfort like you tend to with the breast either.

I’ve only got one and he was ff. He’s always been a decent sleeper but i think that’s more likely genetic as me and his dad love nothing more than a kip!

We’ve gone through phases where he wakes up a few times (weaning) and phases where he slept 12 hours. It varies
