How can I pay these nursery fees?!

Recently left DP and DS is 12 months, until now DP was home while I was working so childcare was not an issue.

I’m on a low income, only earn £160 a week and rely on tax credits, however once DS has funded hours I’m planning on finishing my degree and go into a different industry.

Problem is my nursery is asking for £160 a week, but a month in advance so £640! I can’t get that money.

Also, if i was to change my tax credit claim again surely I’d be without anything for weeks? Need this sorted asap

Can his dad not still help with childcare? Even if just some of the time to reduce the cost.

Having to pay in advance is pretty standard, if you explain they may have a way around it?

Talk to the nursery and explain the issue maybe? If you continue to pay on time they maybe will allow it.

Why are you paying all the nursery fees? What is his father contributing?

Sorry I didnt realise any of you had replied. Father is on a downward spiral of drinking and drugs, he lost his job, cant even sign on as he doesnt have enough national insurance contributions and barely has money for food at the minute so I can’t get anything from him.

Luckily, my parents borrowed me the money to pay the nursery up front and i’ve been paying them back weekly.
