Metal canisters in daughters room (15)?

I was just looking for some socks in my daughters drawer (couldn’t find any) and came across 2 metal canisters. I’m pretty sure they’re whippits. I don’t know how to broach the subject with her and what appropriate punishment is?

I’m now doubting myself as although she goes to parties and meets up with friends a lot she never seems drunk/high when she comes home

What are whippits? Are they the laughing gas canisters?
They are really bloody dangerous, so I wouldn’t blame you for being really angry.

Probably laughing gas canisters. The effect doesn't last very long so it wouldn't be surprising that you couldn't notice anything unusual when she comes home:

gnashers I know but I just feel as if if she’s doing them, it can’t be the only thing she’s using.

It's very popular at parties for this age group. I also found a few in my DDs drawer at a similar age (now 17). We had a chat to her about the dangers and she thought we were exaggerating, it was a harmless bit of fun etc. Get her to read the FRANK advice online.

Perhaps start a discussion about the above?

It’s within my TVarea and if you search BBC Points West you may find the report of the lady’s symptoms/having to learn to walk

I wouldn’t necessarily jump to the conclusion that she’s using anything else, people perceive nitrous oxide as harmless and a laugh
