Mud Kitchens

I want to get a mud kitchen for DD 3rd birthday but also have a bit of an OCD husband who would want it kept tidy. We have a play area with play bark on it which the kitchen would sit on but we are a bit concerned that if I hose down mud onto the bark then the bark would then also become a bit sludgy etc and it won't be a nice area? Anyone have any experience of having a mud kitchen on bark? Looking for tips on how to keep it clean and how the bark would hold up? Thank you

i think it should be fine. in fact, when you search up mud kitchen, many of the photos are of mud kitchens on bark. there are loads on ebay, it may be worth taking a look. if you are really concerned about the bark, you could place foam matting down underneath the kitchen and then just wipe it clean, although that would sort of defeat the point of the bark. you could also try making clean mud : laughingkidslearn.com/clean-mud-recipe/ all the best
