Was just wondering how old your toddler was before you put them in a toddler bed from a cot?
Thanks 😊

2 and a half. We just did it recently with DS and he really loves his big boy bed, very low and with sides so safe. Feels he is growing up and more like his older sister who transitioned at around same age.

My Ds is tall and wasgetting too long for his cot so at xmas we bought him a toddler bed (he was 16m) he took to it straight away! But he was a confident climber and he would climb in and out of our bed so it was only a matter of time before he would've climbed out of his cot. Then when we moved house (he was 30m) we got rid of his todler bed and he now sleeps in bottom bunk of bunk bed

  1. But we went straight into a proper single bed with a really good Summer Infant (?) safety rail.

Toddler beds are expensive and don't last long. And at 3 they can camber up onto a regular bed that will last him until 18!
