Cot bed

My toddler is just over 2 and with another baby on the way, I need to start thinking about what my DD will sleep in when the baby needs to go into a cot. There is no way she is ready to go into a proper bed at the moment and I suspect this still might be the case in a few months time. Can you buy toddler beds that still have cot sides or are there any recommendations on what to do from anyone? Thanks!

You can put bed guards on a single bed and you can buy smaller toddler beds (and put bed guards on that).

You may be surprised that it’s not a big jump to a bed. Mine was in a toddler bed (cot bed one) from 17 months. She’s 5 now and has fallen out of bed maybe 3 times ever (and was totally fine). She transitioned easily and it wasn’t really a big deal. I would do it well in advance of baby arriving so it’s not too much change all at once.
