My son has just started school....

....and has started wetting the bed again.

He’s been dry overnight for what must be well over a year now but since starting school last week he’s wet the bed 5 nights out of 8.

He absolutely loves school, he’s really enjoying so I don’t understand why it’s happening.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I think even when they enjoy being there it is still a massive change and overwhelming. I think this might be quite common with starting school as also they are absolutely shattered so probably sleep more deeply and sleep through needing a wee. My hunch is that it'll settle again in a few more days so I'd just put up with changing sheets etc. and try to make as little fuss as possible about it.

Tiredness. My middle son used to wet the bed the first few nights of a new term in the first year as he was so shattered.

I really wouldn't worry. My DD wet herself a few times during her GCSEs. A mixture of stress and exhaustion.

My husband wants to withhold drinks from 5pm onwards but I don’t feel comfortable doing it Sad

I don't see the need to withhold drinks, your lad will then feel self conscious and nervous for the night ahead making things worse. Wake him up before your bedtime and take him for a wee?
