So Basically as above. I dunno if it set to stay but the last 2 evenings my lo has screamed then stopped then screamed etc going out in the buggy was all ok and the car settled him and he took some food. Lo was at it till 10.My older child used to have witching hour and was hoping this one wouldn't lol. Do u think it could be the teats. He has size 1 teats on mam bottles and sometimes sounds like he gurgling and choking. Should I change the teat size? Any other ideas to snap him out of cryey evenings. He generally burps ok and has about 3 oz 2-3 hrs in the day and thrn a couple of small feeds at night. He grunts like a trooper at night after his feed even though i sit him up for half an hour after. Any tips would be gratefully received. Thankyou x

How old is baby? My DD did this for weeks and I think was quite gassy etc.
In terms of teets, using a size too small can be a nightmare as they suck too hard, however too big and they take too much. A lot depends on baby’s age.....

Oh sorry hes only just 2 weeks. So not really sure about teat size. X

At 2 weeks I would defo stay with teet size 1.
I suppose the screaming could be a number of things, like you say they do have the witching hour don’t they?
I just had to ride it out by rocking and sssshing, taking it in turns with DH, pram, car etc. The HV showed me some baby massage to help with wind and gas, there’s loads of techniques on YouTube, but I found this defo helped, as did a relaxing (but quick) bath.

If baby is grunting after feeds it may be gas, but it may just be bab y getting used to the world. I think it’s a case of trial and error to see what works. Hope things settle soon.

My dd started screaming in the evenings and then got worse and started in the days too when she was about 3 weeks. we started using anti colic bottles and using dentinox in each feed and she seems to have settled down alot. She would never burp before but she seems to have got better at that which is probably helping. She's notnalmost 7 weeks and hasn't had any proper screaming fits in a week now
