Hello girls,

I am doing a little bit of research for something and thinking aout competitive parenting, particularly at the baby stages. Has anyone got any stories of friends etc who have gone to extremes to prove they are a better parent than you? My example is a friend who I rarely speak to but when we do catch up the conversation, on her part goes something like this:
'litte Molly (not real name) is just so bright, I think it is all the fresh fish and veg she just loves to eat. We have the landscape gardener coming around tomorrow to create our new vegetable, corner. With me it is organic or nothing. By the way, how is your carbom footprint these days?' and so on... but it could be about anything...

Well, on my NCT group when my dd was just 2 months was asking constantly if she had met all her develomental targets.... that scared the s..t out of me...

Development is a word that really freak me out! My dd is now 11 months and she still uses it!

Freakity freak!
