How can I stop my 1 year old from biting? She's only just gone 1, I wasn't expecting the biting stage this early! She bit my arm so hard earlier it almost drew blood. She was biting with all her effort, she was going red in the face and making grunting noises because of how much effort she was putting into it! There was no way I could have removed her without using force which is what I didn't want to do at all, so even though I was in shock I managed to maintain my 'cool' and just keep repeating no In a stern voice. When she finally let go (it felt like she was latched for 5 minutes but in reality was probably only about 10 seconds) she smiled at me. I made it obvious using my facial expression that I was not happy with what she just done and she pulled a sad face so I cuddled her and that was it. Just now she was doing the same to my finger but out of shocked I pulled it from her mouth. I think that shocked her a bit because she started crying. How do I stop her from doing this??
