Coping with 3 and BFing

Had dc3 last week, SVD, we’re well and BFing going great.

I have 3 weeks with DH at home with us. We have a 7 year old at school and a 4 year old at nursery part-time (mornings).

I’m starting to think about how I’ll cope with all 3, particularly while BFing. I should get a lot of time with just baby, or baby + 4 year old...but i’ll also have regular weekends when is just me with all 3, and most school holidays, as well as the afterschool to bedtime spell daily.

I’m planning to start using a sling ASAP and get baby used to me being on the move. Otherwise looking for tips and ideas for managing all 3 when i’m on my own, thinking of ways to allow me to continue to BF on demand, while making sure the older two don’t feel too neglected. Thanks.

You can BF in the sling. What I did was have pit stops, grab the BF pillow, give him a feed, pop him in the sling and get on with it. Sling feeding takes some getting used to but it’s wonderful and makes life so much easier
