DC has had big confidence/self esteem problems at school recently. Seemed more or less ok about going back to school tomorrow but tonight has decided to get to work with some hair clippers and managed to shave a 2cm patch above one ear. Now distraught, says everyone will notice and laugh. Was “just trying to look good”. This impulsive behaviour is big part of DC’s problem. There are boys and girls at school who have been low-level bullying for some time and they will obv have a field day. We have told DC to try and tough it out by saying “I was just playing with clippers and went too far. I really messed up . I won’t do that again. “ Saying it is way easier than doing it though. Any helpful thoughts appreciated
