Hi All,

DD is 14 weeks and is on cow and gate comfort milk. I’ve tried several others when she first went on to formua but this one seems to suit her best. However she is very gassy (and was with the others too).
An hour after each feed she gets really gassy, I wind her after each feed. The HV has given me some massage to do, which I have been doing and I think this has helped but She’s still struggling. Does anyone have any tips on how to help them get their gas out?

Could it be they are swallowing a lot of air while feeding? Paced bottle feeding could maybe help with that because they are more in control. Do you burp several times during a feed?

Dr Brown bottles? My dd was very gassy. It's so upsetting watching them in pain.

My son had awful colic I found the comfort milk made it worse. I ended up switching to hipp organic and using dentinox in each feed and he was much better. Also when you shake the milk up undo the top and release the air before feeding. Try tiger in the tree hold also to release any excess wind.

Thank you so much for your tips!!
We do wind during feeds, she burps very well at most feeds.
I will definitely try tiger in the tree.
We also tried Dr browns but she didn’t get on with them. We moved to Mam with an antic colic value and these seem to suit better.
I am nervous about changing milks but it was at the back of my mind that I should consider it, she seems to poo a lot with comfort milk. Did you have any issues swapping over BigCarrot???

No none at all, took a day or so for the other milk to get out of his system but found within a couple of days he was like a different baby! He had previously been on aptamil and breastmilk but never kept it down, but the hipp he does. Just my personal experience though I think it's just finding a brand that suits them but it definitely help us! The only issue he did have was that he was used to the thicker milk so had to go down a teat size until he got used to the consistency.

Lots and lots of bicycle legs helped us a bit.
