dt2 is loving the idea of potty training but I'm a bit worried, because his idea is to spent maybe 15 minutes on it doing wees and poos! I could lift him off after a few minutes, but if he hasnt finished, it will end up in the nappy. I'm wondering if he is going to do himself harm keep trying to force it out. He does it for the attention and looks really pleased with himself with everthing he produces. I can't even tempt him off with the promise of the reward.

My DS is doing that too at the moment - taking ages washing hands, using the nailbrush for a full 5mins and sitting on the potty or loo for ages. It's annoying but glad he's interested.

I just keep saying "lets have another go later then and have to distract him to get him away".
He won't let us brush his teeth though - we're trying to use reward stickers but he just isn't bothered with them.
It's all about power I guess and 'finding themselves'
