How to look after a toddler when ill

My lovely 1yo DS had a tummy bug on Tuesday that he has just gotten over. I now seem to have it - stomach ache, nausea and back pain. DH took care of breakfast (blueberry pancakes) before going to work. Now I'm struggling a bit with DS who is very attention demanding.

I'm lying on the sofa with pillow and blanket and watching him roam about with his toys. He breastfeeds to sleep and he's already napped on me (so uncomfortable). I was then stuck for ideas for a snack so I've given him an apple that he's very happy with. Worrying about what to do for lunch - i don't think we have much food ready to eat - leftover pancakes? I have a sinking feeling that he needs a nappy change too. I can barely stand without feeling lightheaded and nauseous! 😥

Any advice on how to look after a demanding toddler when ill?

How are you getting on now OP? If you’re dizzy, you might need to drink a bit more. I was ill once and BFing at the time and actually passed out, I just needed to drink more. Make sure you look after yourself Smile

Tv for toddler and you just have to suck it up unfortunately. Hopefully DH (hope you have someone) can get home early and take over Leftover pancakes for lunch and dinner sounds perfect

Can you drag yourself upstairs, run a bath and sit by it while he plays? Mine loved a bath at that age.
Bonus is you’re by the loo. Flowers

Thanks all for the advice! I was fine as long as I was horizontal! I just stayed on the sofa and thankfully DH came home to make lunch. Then repeat for the afternoon. Nappy changes were exhausting! But yeah, I can't imagine looking after both DS Andrew myself if we were both in the middle for full blown D&V 😑.
