Teaching my kids how to swim

I want to teach my 2 boys to swim before september, is this possible or is it too short a time?

One is a willing learner who believes he can already swim (underwater only lol) and the other has to be dragged into the swimming pool with a promise that I won't let him drown! we'll only be going once a week...any tips would be much appreciated!

Depends on the age of your kids. Its much easier to teach a seven year old who will follow instructions than a three year old. Being able to swim also requires a certain level of strength and stamina.

Make it fun and don't worry

Will watch this with interest.

Dd loves to swim... she starts on the surface and by halfway across the width of the pool is on the bottom. She then surfaces, gasping for breath and then sets off again on a downward course

There's book on it like this one:

www.amazon.co.uk/How-Teach-Your-Baby-Swim/dp/075700198X/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/026-1730863-1282061?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1181140450&sr=8-1

We're going to try this one anyway.
