your 8-12mo's fave toys?

Hi all

The more I look at the millions of toys my 8mo DD has the more I realise most of them are ignored as they're now far too young for her! I'm a bit stuck on what kind of toys to get her now, while avoiding all the plastic fantastic vtech stuff as we already have mountains of that from when she was born.

What did your babies love playing with at this age?

Little Types Activity Garden was expensive, but probably the best toy I have bought to date (bought at about 9mo, DD is now 5). DD used it for hours every day for more than a year, and it also immediately attracted any child who came to visit.

Take a look at the Fisher Price website... telks you month by month what toys suit...

Frankie the hankie - a whale that has little fabric squares to pull out. that's a good one for dc that like to pull out a whole pack of wipes

Hmm, mine mostly just liked the labels on toys at that age! And board books. She also loved this (see pic).

Do you go to any playgroups? I found them quite useful to see what toys dd liked before I bought any.

Following! My 9 month old isn't into anything. I think at this age they just want to move about
