Question on pooing frequency at 1yo

When we started weaning my 1yo used to have a poo twice a day, usually after lunch and dinner. This has slowly increased to 5 a day, after each meal and 2 snacks, and always after eating, and sometimes as soon as we come home.

Is this normal? He's not ill - I've seen the effects of a tummy bug and it's definitely not that - and they are all small, pretty solid, compact sausages. He goes to nursery and they were surprised by the frequency but are not concerned by the consistency.

If they’re small and hard I’d think fruit and veg needs to be upped a bit?

They're not hard, firm to look at but like plasticine? He has a lot of fruit and we are working on veg!

About the size of a small plum each time? So maybe not that small. It just looks it because it was only a couple months ago that they were a lot looser.

At that age mine used to poo for England. Food used to go straight through them. They are a few years older now but they still go 2+ times a day.
