Hi, i was woundering if anyone could give me any advice please!!

My ds is 2.5 and for the last 2 weeks i've been trying to train him, he loves wearing pants and screems the house down when i mention putting a nappie on him (at bed/nap time) however .... we just don't seem to be having any luck.

When he has done a wee he'll run as fast as he can and sit on the potty calling for me and giving me a great big grin then stand up and look in the potty saying opps! before taking my hand to show me where hes on the floor when i sit him on the potty he will sit there for a good few mins but then gets off and 2 mins later does it on the floor. I know he knows hes weeing as when he has a nappie on (at bedtime) and wees he looks down his legs as if to say where is it then?!

So i wounderd if any had any advice/tips on how to get him to go to the potty befroe he wees instead of after as this would be greatly appreciated! thanks

Sounds like he knows when he's gone rather than when he's going to go. I'd have said leave it for now, but if he won't wear a nappy could be tricky.
You could ask him every 15 mins to half an hour if he needs to go. Or put him on the potty every half hour. Use reward chart or choc button if he manages.
Good luck, M x

Thanks horsemadgal,

I've tried the reward chart and the choc buttons and although hes not fussed about the stickers he did do a poo and 2 wees on the potty for a few choc buttons! hes even sitting on it of his own acord and saying 'no wee'

Which is better than i could have dreamed of a few days ago!

So thankyou again!! x
