Lanolin question

Struggling a bit with cracked nipples. Feel I've corrected the latch but nipples just don't seem to be recovering very fast, boob is constantly leaking and so always wet and therefore the lanolin just doesn't apply properly. Have been told to sit with boob out and apply it and reapply it more often than I currently am but it appears to have just melted away and again not staying on properly, will this have any affect? If not what can I do to get it today properly on my boobs? TIA

Are you using Lansinoh?

preggersteach · 20/08/2018 19:16

It still will. I used to lie on the bed on a towel with a muslin under my boobs to catch drips and give them air healing time. Once dry from the latest feeding session, apply lansinoh in quantity. Once it's sunk in, apply more! And repeat. It soon works and you will see the healing :) lansinoh is worth every penny!

I’ve heard amazing things about these used alongside lansinoh.

Hmm. It used to be called camillosan. The midwives assured me it was completely natural with no chemicals.

One of my noted allergies was lanolin. Oh what a mess. I was not impressed.

Lanolin is evil stuff, makes my skin bleed

Thank you and I'll buy some of those compresses!
