Bought a Chicco baby carrier that specifies it is suitable from birth have put my five week old baby in it and he seems to really enjoy it, im a bit worried about his hips they look quite spread apart. Any advice?

They should be like a ‘M’. So the bum should be lower than the two knees

It's a bit counter intuitive but that actually is the right position for their legs.

Yes legs are probably too spread apart - someone will probably come with a good link but if it looks anything like this picture (Chico easyfit) it's all kind of wrong (legs too spread out, back not round, head buried and other pictures show front forward carrying which is a no)

This is the correct position, legs not more spread apart that baby's hip width.
