How long do side effects of 8 week jabs last?

Does anyone know please? I'm trying to find the info, but struggling!

DD had her jabs 11 days ago and as of 3 days ago has been off her milk. I'm wondering if it's jabs related or something else.

TIA x

Hi my baby struggled for about 48hrs and I found he wanted more feeds but they were smaller. I think it was mostly a comfort thing.
I was under the impression that most side effects were over within 5 days. Do they have a temperature? Might be worth a GP visit.

In the leaflet they gave me it said to expect new symptoms even up to two weeks later so it sounds completely normal.

Brilliant thank you!

I text my HV and she isn't concerned. Baby clinic is Tuesday so will get her weighed and checked over then.

Up til now she's had the guideline amounts formula per 24hrs or more but is now having a bit less. She's fine in herself, wet and dirty nappies, so I'm sure she's ok, it's just always a bit unnerving when they suddenly start eating less than usual!

I’m up at the hospital with DS1 at the moment but when I get home this evening I’ll photo the page from the leaflet and upload it for you. It might help to know what to expect in the next few days. IIRC it’s the mumps and measles vaccs causing issues between 7-14 days later.

CremeDeSudo · 18/08/2018 19:29

She didn't have mumps and measles this time, those are later. Yes please though I'll have a look, thank you!

I hope all is ok with your DC xx

If it's the 8 weeks jabs it could also be the rotavirus one if they had that? I remember them saying that hung about in the system a while and to be really vigilant with hand washing etc

Sorry complete brain fart- 8week jabs! Sorry. I’m staying at the hospital tonight now but I will do it when I’m home in the morning. If your HV isn’t worried that’s a really good sign, their threshold to recommend medical help tends to be quite low.
