Nappy rash caused by teething?

My 2 year old who doesn't have all of her teeth yet has come out in a red, sore rash on her poor little bits.
I've been using metanium nappy rash cream since day, wondering how long it takes to work?
Poor girl is crying when I wipe the area and apply cream Sad could teething be the cause?? She has been very dribbly and red faced this week so have found calpol has helped with it, it's just this nappy rash now!
Also wondering does juice cause nappy rash? She drinks juice a bit and was wondering if I should cut down? (Q the "not good for their teeth" comments Grin)

Bless her. Teething can cause nappy rash I'm not too sure about squash but I know pure fruit juices can. I always use warm water and cotton wool instead of wipes on nappy rash. When changing nappy try and leave off for a little while to allow air to get to the skin. I'm not too sure about the cream you are using never used it I have always used sudocream but they work differently on different babies. It should start to clear after a couple days but if gets any worse take to Dr may need a antifungal cream. Also can now buy barrier creams I think sudocream one is called care and protect which are meant for everyday use to prevent nappy rash so if she is teething once the rash has cleared maybe worth getting some of that to try and prevent the rash from returning.
