DD is going to be 2 at the end of July

Have sat her on the loo a few times, mostly before her bath, and sometimes before I get her dressed. She has not done anything on there...although she did run naked into my room, bend her knees and wee on the carpet...followed by a big shout of 'wee wee!!'

also , noticed much clutching of her nappy coinciding with her weeing

and just now she is playing, and she stopped and was making nappy filling sounds...I turned around , and she said 'poo'...and she;s right !

so, it has been 4 years since i last potty trained...well toilet trained, don;t do potties....

what do i do ??

Just cannot bear the thought of 8 million pairs of spare knickers, and spending every day out asking brightly, 'now, do you need a WEE WEE or a POO?'. in the manner of an over caffeinated kids TV presenter !

POTTY TRAINING

Day 1 - 3 no clothes, ask if they want the potty, at least every 1/2 hour. Expect lots of accidents.

Day 4-7 Providing child is now making it to the potty, pants on, still reminding, first couple of days will result in wet pants, but by day 7, usually making it to the potty.

Day 7 onwards trousers on as well, still asking often, take potty EVERYWHERE with you.

If this doesn't work, would say the child isn't ready. Have done it with children from 20 months - 4 years, they are ready when they are ready, boys in general are later than girls, but saying that just had a boy dry at 22 months and a girl not till almost 4. !

Is she regular? If so you could put her on the toilet at the opportune moment, see what happens.

oh, i just don;t want to use the potty...put DS on the loo straight away

seamonster....she is regularish, but usually wakes up having pooed,so short of going in and waking her up, not a lot i can do !!

cannot take it out with me , though ! LOL !!

Make a mental list of where loo's are you can run to whilst out? Travel potty for emergencies?

I guess just try her on the toilet every now and then throughout the day, it'll just happen eventually and maybe she'll get it. I wouldn't be too bothered personally just yet.
