After 2 DSs, DD is clad from head to foot in muck and grime not pink.

LadyMacbeth · 03/06/2007 20:49

You're right Babies. I have a couple of friends whose v rich fathers bought them everything they ever wanted (still do in fact) and they have both had affairs... for no reason other than general dissatisfaction in their marriages. They always seem to be looking for something (IYKWIM?)

I probably sound judgemental... I'm certainly not saying it always happens but I have noticed the coincidence!

Otter · 03/06/2007 20:49

bet she is cuter for it soupy!

Otter · 03/06/2007 20:49

?????

Idobelieveinfairies · 03/06/2007 20:51

some girls are just born the girly way i think. my oldest dd was always covered in muck and grime (and snot). i am not girly at all, and we have 7males in the house, don't know where her love for pink and princess' has sprung from!

rather harshly (esp as i only have boys) i always think to myself whenever i see baby girls branded as princesses and garbed from head to clueless toe in 300 shades of puke, sorry, pink..'bet she comes home pregnant when shes 15. hehehe'

ok, so im not a nice person.

Really really at this post. Seriously

lilymolly · 03/06/2007 20:55

my dd also covered on mud, horse hair, dog hair, hay and straw......

No room for princess's in the country

Think she was being a little tongue in cheek to be honest

Wilkie · 03/06/2007 20:57

I was driving behind a particularly delightful one that read 'Fuck off' the other day - and also had a sticker of a middle finger sticking up at me.

There were two young children in the back to.

Niiiice!

TaylorsMummy · 03/06/2007 20:58

it doesn't matter,it doesn't excuse that post.it's horrible to be thinking that way about babies

Otter · 03/06/2007 21:00

pink is fine dont get me wrong

just find the princess bit

1.precious
2.smug
3.creepy
4,heading for a fall l!!

lilymolly · 03/06/2007 21:01

agree.

WelshBoris · 03/06/2007 21:01

But pregnant at 15?

Think I'll PARP myself now

expatinscotland · 03/06/2007 21:01

DD1 loves pink. She's also big into horses, dogs and other stinky large animal or livestock.

Females can be 'girly' and still love the country, farming, etc.

I don't see what's wrong with pink, tbh.

I wouldn't wear it, but far be it from me to dictate to her that there's anything wrong with her choice.

SoupDragon · 03/06/2007 21:01

Agree 100%. Apart from the bit about pink.

expatinscotland · 03/06/2007 21:02

I prefer Duchess myself.

BabiesInBedsGalore · 03/06/2007 21:04

im not thinking that way about the babies - im judging the parents to be arseholes by branding their daughters with gender stereotyping before they can even control their own bowels.
and i dont give a toss if you think thats awful. frankly.

SoupDragon · 03/06/2007 21:04

Agree with Otter that is.

I think what offends me most about pink is that it's forced upon you. I've thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of dressing BabyDragon in non pink clothes only to be thwarted by sodding shoes. Best I could do this time were denim doodles with friggin pink butterflies on them.Anyway. Girly does not equal pink.

Saw two older children out riding last week in Argyll - one wearing pink everything including mud-spattered wellies and the other with cow print wellies.

It's a colour, not a self-identity, people.

What's wrong with being 'girly', anyway?
