Friday or Saturday night for a sleepover party?

My son turns 8 at the end of September, on a Friday. He’s having a small sleepover party for 5-6 boys. My question is...

Do we have it on Friday after school/from 5pm say or Saturday from the same time?

I’m worried kids will be tired Friday night but then a Saturday night party uses up part of people ps Sunday too and also gives less recovery time... cos you know they won’t get any sleep! 🎉🛌🛏🛌🎉

Thoughts?

Do it the Friday. They won’t sleep either night and at least they and you will have longer to recover. Saturday can be spent picking popcorn out of your carpet!

P.S my first thought was not to do it Smile

Whatever day you do it set a time for bedtime (I usually use 10.30/11pm) and sit in there telling them to be quiet until they all go to sleep. I had one where I didn't do this and it was chaos with over tired children not being able to get to sleep - we had tears! Lots of them!

Change the time on the clock if you need too Grin

I'd go for Friday, and would be pleased if it were my son going on a Friday instead of a Saturday for maximum recovery time!

Friday. You get rid of them on Saturday morning and have the weekend to yourselves and to recover!
