Holiday advice- Majorca

We are looking to go on holiday next year. We will have a 2.5 year old and a 7 month old.
We don't know anything about Majorca but it ticks the boxes in terms of travel time.
We would like to go self catered, however i don't want a villa as I like the atmosphere of being able to grab an afternoon drink/ice cream at the pool bar etc.
Ideally looking for a complex with tiny little villas (don't know what they are called but have seen them!)
If you have any recommendations (good or bad) please send them my way!... Walking distance to a harbour/beach with restaurants and shops would be lovely too!

Puerto pollensa is lovely. They have a few hotel/apartment complexes, a beautiful beach and the best restaurants around. Also very scenic so nice walks etc

I would highly recommend Menorca over Majorca for children those ages. Every single bar and restaurant we visited had giant inflatables in enclosed areas so the kids couldn't get out whilst we enjoyed an afternoon drink. Mine were 2 and 5 when we went and the eldest still talk about it now.

Look at Menorca - cala n bosch. The zafiro hotel.

We stayed in Cala en Forcat. I wouldn't recommend our hotel (Binimar) as it was hectic, but lots of beautiful hotels nearby.
