From formula to cows milk....

DS is a few weeks from his first birthday, and eats very well- lots of fruit, veg etc.

Would it be dreadfully irresponsible of me to change him over to cows milk 3 weeks earlier than is advised? He's fine with dairy as has yogurts and cows milk on his cereal etc.

What do you reckon?

It is not as if someting changes at 10:51 (or whatever) on his birthday is it? I don't see that 3 weeks will make a difference.

OTH whats 1 or 2 more tins of formula?

i switched DS 2 weeks ago and he is one on Saturday - don;t think it is dreadfully irresponsible but use up any formula you have left first

We used up formula and didn't want to buy anymore and changed 2 weeks early

The reason i ask is that i'm getting married Monday, then there's a bit of travelling etc for honeymoon. There'll be times when it just easier (and cheaper) to give him real milk over the next 3 weeks. (We are also broke TBH due the wedding and a knackered car )

congratulations!!!!!!!!! Have a wonderful day ... hope the sun shines for you and your family

thanks!

Think once this tin of formula is finished, we'll just give him proper milk then.

have a lovely wedding !

Congratulations!!!

We changed all ours between 11 months and 1 year once we'd used up the formula, I don't think it will harm. Enjoy your day on monday
