Bananas

Evening all!
My son has CMPA and GERD. He’s on neonate milk, baby’s in in every bottle and 10mg Losec MUPS (omeprazole) daily. Weaning is going very slowly but well.
To anyone out there with little ones suffering the same, I am wondering how you’ve found your little ones get on with banana? I’ve read really conflicting information on google and don’t know whether to try it or not. I know I won’t know until I’ve tried him with it but it would be good to get some feedback first.
Thanks all! Flowers

Banana can cause constipation. Even at 2 I limit the amount of banana DD has.

I was only going to give him a small bit as I’d already read about constipation, thank you for your advice. Does your dd have reflux? If so how did you find the banana affect this?

Ds had relatively mild reflux but he had no ill effect from bananas. In the early stages he only ate tiny amounts anyway.

Zebra thank you. It’s so difficult to know what foods to try as obviously no two babies are the same! I think I’m going to try him with a little bit this morning and see how he goes

DD did have reflux but it was due to undiagnosed CMPI. No foods made it better or worse?

He had a small amount of banana an hour ago and so far he’s been fine with it so fingers crossed 🤞🏻 The only food he’s reacted to so far is avacado, he was extremely sick immediately after having it.
Has your daughter grown out of her allergy yet? If so, what age?
