I need desperate advice on how to keep my cool at DD's christening next month Confused

DD will be 6 months old - DH's family have not visited since she was a week old and even that was for a matter of hours before they spent the rest of their trip shopping and going to a spa...

It's a 4.5 hour drive for them.

PLEASE help me keep sane when I see them. They act like the doting grandparents/aunts yet I can't see how DD means anything to them. Hmm

Not sure why you would be anything other than calm or sane. They might not be baby people, but they are still the dc's Grandparents, and your dh's parents, and they will presumably come to the service, enjoy socialising with you afterwards, and then go home.

I'm not sure why you think you you need advice on how to keep cool Confused

It's a 4.5 hour drive for them.

They can hardly do the dreaded 'popping in' from that distance really, OP! I take it your family live closer?

At least they're not in yer face giving you advice all the time.

Spending two hours with a mother and new baby is often more than enough for the mother, it's a pity more people don't realise that.

4.5 hours drive is a long one.

There's nothing to be cross about, enjoy the day.
