Pram question

Morning all!
I have a newborn insert in my Egg Stroller but am wondering what age to remove it? Baby is in the most upright position in the pram and has been for a while as it helps with his GERD.
He can’t sit by himself unsupported yet. How will I know when’s best to remove the insert?
Thank you!

Does it not tell you in the instruction? Will either be weight or height based

No there’s no information on the website. Someone has asked the same question on Mothercare and a reply has been made ‘It is hard to say as babies can vary in sizes, however, we would say it is suitable for children up to approx 6 months old.’ So a bit vague in that no weight or height given.

If his in a newborn insert he shouldn't be completely upright
So bad for the back and bones

We didn't have the newborn insert in our Egg, we had the carrycot attachment but for us, the decision to move out of that was based on when DS could sit comfortably and safely in the pushchair bit. We switched when he was about 4 and a half months old: he was able to sit up supported and didn't 'sag' to one side by then. He was also about 17lbs.

Hope that helps!

He’s seven months old, @Tiki don’t worry he’s not actually a newborn

By the looks of that I'd say you'd be fine to remove it from about 4 months so 7 months definitely no issue at all.

I didn't have one of those moulded prams, I had one with a hinged recline which laid flat and I started sitting it up a little (not fully) from about 4 months old.

Hello I got one of these with my granddaughter's pram and we had to go buy her length but I managed to get a memory foam mattress which can be used in the buggy possition as well and she sleeps well on it
Hope this helps

Egg finally emailed me back today if anyone is interested, it’s been tested up to 6months.
