Help- poisoned DC?

Eek help please! I'm veggie but DS2 likes chicken so I buy him the sliced pre cooked chicken breast. He normally has it cold, but tonight thought it would be nice warmed through in some white sauce with rice. He's just thrown it all up (4 hours later.) He's now perked up and is running around ignoring the fact he should be asleep. Has the chicken poisoned him? Do I need to do anything else? Is he safe to go back to bed? Help please! TIA

If the chicken was OK then cooking it wouldn't make him sick. More likely he's got a tummy bug

It was pre-cooked- I don't know if you're allowed to warm that through of if it's just meant to me eaten cold? I'm clueless about meat. Yes could also be tummy bug

Heated piping hot should be fine but never warmed through. But we have had a bug here queasy tummy and vomited once or twice in my case then fine again. So no I doubt you have poisoned him💐

Just checked packet you can have it hot, instructions for microwave or oven but I had it in sauce on the job for about 5 minuets- it was piping it I had to leave it to cool down for him. Any ideas anyone? Or tummy bug?

Thank you, sorry being veggie I panic about meat hence never cooking chicken from raw. Think I'm going to leave it in future as DS happy eating Quorn. As long as I can safely put him back to bed!

If it was piping hot and the meat was in date there is no reason to suspect food poisoning.

I think it's really unlikely to have been the chicken from what you say - and food poisoning IME usually has a much quicker effect than 4 hours. If he's perked up now he's hopefully got whatever it was out of his system.

Thanks everyone- he sicked up a bit of water and chicken and I'm just keeping him up to check it's all out. Don't think I'll sleep well tonight! But he's responsive and perky at least

Most food poisoning takes about 12-24 hours, so if it was food poisoning, it’s unlikely from the chicken. It’s either from something else, a vomiting bug, or just random. Mine is sick if she eats too much too fast sometimes. Hope he feels better soon though and it’s nothing.
