Appropriate phone and apps for 12.5 year old

I have not let my preteen have their own phone although the have access to both my phone and iPad. However it seems they really are the only ones without a phone.

I think now is the time to succumb to the pressure but want to do it properly. I hope I am not the only one who didn’t give my kids phone and social media accounts too soon.

Please help with phone makes and the best parental control software.all his friends seem to be on iPhones

Cut the Rope Application. It may even give your kids a subliminal physics lesson along the way.
