My 5 week old has gone 26 hours without a poo is this normal? She is bottle fed and feeding normal, maybe a bit more sleepy but I presume the heat is the cause!

I would not be panicking yet but try bicycling her legs and look up tummy massage. There is a great video on YouTube from the northeast sling library.

My DD only goes every other day! HV said it's totally normal but the first time she didn't poo for a day I was willing her too! She was probably about 5 weeks old when it happened for the first time too, I wouldn't worry at all but just keep a log (lol) of when her last one was.

This is when the big poos start coming! Be prepared for it to go right up their back! Grin

Prepare for a poonami! My breast fed lo didn't poo for almost a week. I am still traumatised! Grin

Make sure she is getting plenty to drink, apart from her milk. In this heat we all need extra hydration.

My twins were BF but from about 4/5 weeks only went every 3 days..like clockwork but with a big gap!!!
